๐งต Built a Chrome extension that explains Ethereum transactions in plain English before you sign them โ and it never touches your API or private keys.
Here's how ClearSign works:
Before you confirm any Web3 transaction, it intercepts the request and tells you exactly what you're signing: "you're approving unlimited USDC spend to this contract" or "this swaps 0.5 ETH for tokens via Uniswap" in plain English, not hex calldata.
Under the hood, it runs 4 checks in parallel:
โ Decodes the function signature via https://t.co/HTiggKW6VP โ Pulls the contract ABI from Etherscan
โ Simulates the tx on Tenderly to show real balance changes
โ Sends the decoded context to Claude AI for a human explanation
The AI part goes through a Cloudflare Worker proxy โ your Anthropic API key lives as an encrypted secret on the server, never in the extension code, never in your browser.
The extension sends transaction data to the proxy, the proxy calls Claude, and only the explanation comes back. Zero key exposure.
Risk scoring runs locally โ honeypot detection via GoPlus, unlimited approval warnings, suspicious domain flags.
No data leaves your browser for that part.
It's not a wallet. It doesn't sign anything. It just makes sure you know what you're signing before you do.
Tech stack: Chrome MV3 extension + Cloudflare Worker + Anthropic API + Tenderly + GoPlus + Etherscan
Still rough around the edges, but it caught 2 sketchy contracts for me already this week.
๐ open to feedback from anyone building in Web3 security

Over 300,000 people die of drowning each year. In order to protect society, it is now illegal to consume or possess water.
Your government is also considering banning solid food, as it presents a needless choking hazard.

$BTC TA | June 11, 2026
Price: ~$62K
RSI: 26 (extreme oversold)
MACD: negative
Both 50D + 200D MA: overhead resistance
ETF outflows: $5.5B across 13 straight days
Fear & Greed: 8/100
The technicals are screaming oversold. The macro is still bearish.
Two paths for the next 30 days:
Bull: Fed softens June 16-17, ETF outflows flip, BTC reclaims $63K+ and targets $65-66K by mid-July
Bear: Hawkish Fed surprise, $60K breaks, flush to $57-59K
Base case: choppy consolidation $59K-$65K until the Fed gives a clear signal
The chart wants to bounce. The macro has to let it.
