Today in 2002, Prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde were in Japan where the world cup football took place. They attended a gala in Tokyo, in the presence of Prince Naruhito & Princess Masako.
In 3 weeks time both couples will meet again in Belgium for the Japanese state visit!

🚨 The Emperor & Empress of Japan arrive in Belgium from the NL on Saturday, June 20. Before their program begins, they’ll enjoy a private weekend with King Philippe & Queen Mathilde at Ciergnon Castle, the royal residence in the Ardennes. The State Visit starts Tuesday, June 23.
