One day into a new administration and House Democrats have already canceled scheduled work for next week. I can promise you this: When Republicans are in the majority, we won’t take off the first week.

Within hours after assuming office, the new administration was more interested in helping illegal immigrants than in helping our own citizens. https://t.co/rKZwhDcuSt
The American people were at best virtual participants in today’s inaugural.
It was a purely staged media event for the elite.
All other Americans were invited to watch from afar, very afar.
Pres. Biden: "I will defend the Constitution. I'll defend our democracy. I'll defend America… And together we shall write an American story of hope, not fear, of unity not division. Of light, not darkness. A story of decency and dignity, love and healing, greatness and goodness”
As the clouds of hatred recede and time lets the light of reason prevail. History will record Trump as one of our greatest Presidents. Great achievements foreign and domestic, despite unprecedented opposition. Thank God for the grace He bestows on the United States of America.
I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol 🇺🇸
A historic day. Congratulations, President Biden and Vice President Harris. I look forward to building a strong partnership and tackling the many challenges ahead, together.
Beautiful words from our inaugural poet @TheAmandaGorman! "We, the successors of a country and a time where a skinny Black girl descended from slaves and raised by a single mother can dream of becoming president, only to find herself reciting for one." #BlackWomenLead
The report finds that Black women will constitute only 4.9% of all members in Congress, despite being 7.6% of the U.S. population. A record number of Black women will serve in the 117th Congress as a result of the 2020 election. #NationalRunforOfficeDay#BlackWomenLead
Black women face significant challenges when running for office, such as recruitment, fundraising & support. It is important to confront not only sexist notions about who can be a leader, but also racist notions of who can and should lead. #NationalRunforOfficeDay#BlackWomenLead
