If our Christianity causes kids to go hungry, the sick to go without healthcare, the stranger to be unwelcome, the elderly on social security to be called a “parasite,” all while billionaires get richer, we’ve profoundly misunderstood the most basic elements of Jesus’ teachings.
AIDS deaths and starvation rising in Africa... hospitals closing in refugee camps in Thailand... kids watching their grandparents being dragged away in the US.
It shouldn't be controversial to say that any movement that brings "bad news to the poor" is not a Christian movement.
If this was Biden, conservative evangelicals would be outraged. Where are they now?
We have a megalomaniac in the white house who thinks he is god and white evangelicals are eating it up.
Harris: “You’re at the wrong rally.”
Christians: “OH MY GAWD she’s DENOUNCING CHRISTIANITY. There is NO other possible explanation for what she said!”
Musk: *Nazi salute* *makes Nazi jokes about his Nazi salute*
Christians: “I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation.”

When you put someone in power because they don’t care about the same people you don’t care about, the only certainty is that you will soon find out that they don’t care about you either.
The reason all moral arguments fail against Trump when talking to right-wingers is that despite things like, racism, blatant lying, multiple affairs, misogyny, felonies, and yes… even rape… none of these things are as evil in their minds as abortion.
Even though Roe is overturned, in many ways, the pro-life positions is in a worst place now than it was previously: 🧵
1. Abortions have gone up since the overturning of Roe.
2. Trump himself is not pro-life. And his influence has moved the GOP away from it as well.
I say I voted for Kamala. People assume I’m a progressive.
I show that I’m upset about the election results. I’m told to repent and called a shrill liberal.
I’m a moderate. I’m a Christian who is conservative theologically, and in a denomination that is traditional. I’ve been a believer for over 25+ years and I have a lot of clout as a Christian in my circles. I’m well educated and been around the block a few times.
Yes, I voted for Kamala. But, not for the reasons you assume.
I voted for Kamala not because she’s a woman. Not because she’s black. But, because she’s qualified. She did not pose a threat to national security. She has never been convicted of crime. She’s never been accused of SA. She is a strong communicator, and I believe she would have brought some stability to our country. How? Through her presence. You can disagree, totally fine. But, that’s why I voted for her.
I don’t agree with all her policies, but I did think she would have made a good president. And yes, I’m disappointed that Trump was elected. I’m sad. People are allowed to be upset that their candidate lost. People are allowed to work through that frustration and express themselves.
I’ve made a point to not make this platform about politics. My heart is to help people leave cultic, coercive, and spiritually abusive relationships. I love kindness, and I want to see people united over good causes. I’m at my heart a peace maker who desires unity.
I don’t intend to continue to make political posts, but if my beliefs bother you-please, just unfollow me.
If you feel the same way I do about abuse, cults, and education - please stay. That is the heartbeat of my platform. Give me a few days to settle my soul, I just ask for your understanding and patience if you find my tweets to be insufferable.
Taught on Ecclesiastes 11-12 this morning, a perfect text for a raw post-election Thursday. After chapters of "meaningless, meaningless!" we get:
"For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil."
