I have a feeling that 2026 will be like 2024 for BINI, but this time with the international audience. More people will discover them in Coachella and then they will be more curious checking out BINI's content and discography. Itโs been more than 12 hours since the new pack release and many things have been said. Gathered my thoughts first before I posted this, so here is an attempt on an honest to goodness take:
1. Whether we like it or not, the promotion for the BINIverse EP was borderline non-existent. The timing of the second and third versions of Blink Twice is questionable at most. Regardless, an active and good promotion could have solved the issues surrounding it. The feeling of โno hypeโ should not be put on BINIโs shoulders, but rather on their marketing and comms team.
2. For the recent pack, a valid marketing question right now would beโโWHAT WERE THEY TRYING TO ACHIEVE?โโespecially since itโs been months since the release of the EP. Itโs the most basic question in marketing and comms, and without such question being answered, any release would be futile and would feel like โjust because we want toโ releases.
3. Although BINI has addressed and is thankful for their small yet hardworking team, the reality is that they need a bigger and functioning team with proper organization. A team big enough to do quality control checks. A team who knows how to attack the market properly. A team who uses all the tools available in the marketing and comms sphere.
4. Nawawala ba sa masa ang BINI? Not necessarily, no. What is happening though is the lack of appearancesโTV guestings, etc.โwhile releases are being made. Again, this boils down to a proper marketing strat plan. If you have new releases, put them on air.
5. BINI is being managed like how typical local showbiz artists and loveteams are being managed. This will not work. They need to be managed like idols. Proper strat plan for idols, proper promotions for idols. The marketing plan should be geared towards that.
6. The fan discontentment is valid. To ask fellow blooms not to speak up is frankly against what we practice as a democratic country. Paalala ko lang na the last time Blooms trended thay BINI deserves better, manman acted properly. We knew they heard us. As consumers, they have to hear us and they should, frankly, listen. The last thing they should do is have this discontentment fall on deaf ears. Consumers are incredibly important. Which brings me toโฆ
7. BINIโs exclusive website that the said consumers paid for. Again, what is the strat plan here? What is the exclusivitt for aside from the merch? Barely anything is going on sa website. Ang daming pwedeng gawin.
8. Lastly, all of it really, truly comes down to the fact that BINI needs more people in their team. Not only to solely focus on them, but to have more people to think, to create, and to check. Hindi na uubra yung one person doing two or more tasks. In any marketing strat plan, something like that can fail. If we want them to reach global, they have to get a bigger team to manage them and their contents properly. A tram solely dedicated to them.
i used to not believe in manifestation. but after watching how jhoanna and bini made it work, it became clear to me na it's not just about wishing for it to be given to you. manifestation is believing it can happen. paired with passion and hard work to make it a reality. +
