FACT CHECK ✅ It IS true that Ivana Trump was NOT a U.S. citizen when she gave birth to her three kids with Donald Trump.

Ivana Trump was born in Czechoslovakia and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1988.

Donald Trump Jr. was born in 1977, Ivanka Trump in 1981, and Eric Trump in 1984.

Despite Ivana not being a citizen at the time of their birth, all three of her and Donald’s kids ARE U.S. citizens because they were born in the United States.

Under the 14th Amendment and U.S. law, children born in the U.S. are citizens — regardless of their parents' immigration status or citizenship.

Right now, Trump’s trying to repeal that.

During his speech yesterday, Trump tried to quote the Declaration of Independence but instead quoted the Bible:

> "As our Declaration of Independence says: we are all made in the image of the one Almighty God."

What was even more striking was that the crowd erupted in applause.

In reality, the Declaration states that all people are created equal and are endowed by their Creator—not "God," but specifically "their Creator"—with certain unalienable rights, including the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That is what the Declaration of Independence actually says.

Hey, MAGA faithful, your votes put a man in the White House who doesn't know the difference between the Bible and America's Declaration of Independence. He only pretends to follow the Bible while violating many of its commandments.

This is a man who talks about the importance of the Constitution while trampling many of its amendments. A man who, on July 4—the 250th anniversary of our country—quoted the Bible believing it was the Declaration of Independence, strongly suggesting that he has read neither.

He said all of this to the cheers of a crowd that, like him, ignores both documents on a daily basis while calling themselves American patriots.

It's frightening to realize how long a road America still has ahead of it.
