Conveyed my best wishes for a productive and successful session, with the hope that the proceedings, deliberations, and discussions of the Honourable Members will continue to serve the best interests of our citizens - both for the present and for generations to come.

Our young and dynamic Speaker has been instrumental in driving the modernisation of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly through several progressive initiatives that have strengthened its functioning and institutional capacity.

On 18th February 2026, JSW Foundation marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of Nagaland’s first all-women BPO centre in Dimapur, under JSW Shakti initiative.

Through this initiative, JSW Foundation has established a partnership with Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) to create meaningful employment opportunities for women in the region.

The centre was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, reflecting a shared commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development in the North East.

This all-women BPO facility will empower rural and underprivileged women with access to skills, dignified employment, and financial independence — connecting local talent to the global service economy.

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands were a pleasant and memorable surprise.

Visited this stunning destination on the occasion of the Executive Council Meeting of the Athletics Federation of India.

Pristine waters, breathtaking landscapes, clean urban spaces, warm hospitality, and countless unique experiences - Andaman truly has it all.

Over-tourism is yet to leave its mark. The marine ecosystem and coral reefs are well protected, and the fresh seafood is simply delightful.

A must-visit destination - let us all ensure we leave behind only positive footprints by respecting conservation and protecting the environment.

Had a very positive and productive meeting with Mr. C. Dhandapani, Regional Director, Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Mr. Shivam Yadav, Assistant Director (Infrastructure), SAI along with Director of Sports Mr. Kethosituo Sekhose and officers of the Sports Department.

We discussed in detail our plans and strategies for strengthening sports development and the entire sports ecosystem in Nagaland. Exciting initiatives are on the anvil!

Participated in the Colours of Spring Flower Festival organised by the Dimapur District Ladies Club - a vibrant and colourful event that showcases the immense potential of Nagaland’s floriculture industry. Our women are immensely talented, creative, and innovative, and almost everyone has a green thumb.

Appreciated the touching and inspiring message delivered by Madam Kaisa Rio, the wife of the Honourable Chief Minister.

The exhibition and sale are on for the next two days, and all flower lovers must not miss it. Well done to the organisers. IDAN is honoured to partner with you, and we look forward to many more collaborations in the future.

The JSW Shakti women-centric BPO centre was inaugurated in Dimapur in the presence of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, IDAN Chairman Abu Metha, and JSW Foundation officials.

The initiative aims to create local employment and skill opportunities for women, with engagement letters handed over to recruits during the programme.
