I have a really bad habit of not checking the email account for my blog. Most of the emails I get there are spam but once in a while, there's a real gem. So if you sent something to me months ago, I'm sorry for the late reply! Must start forwarding it to my real email...
I wrote a blog post for the first time in several months. In this post, I explore 5 lit mags that focus on the environment: place-based magazines with nature writing and climate fiction! #writingcommunity#litmags
I've been neglecting writing my blog on lit journals these past 2 months because I've been deeply buried in reading lit journals to figure out places to submit. My process is to read 3-4 pieces of the most recent issue of journals to to get an idea of what they want.
Lastly, I have a story coming out in @PorcupineLit which I've also featured on my blog before. One story I enjoyed from their latest issue is "Not Yet and Maybe Never" by Jennifer Wortman about the small indignities of being an adjunct professor
I feel so grateful to have received so many acceptances from so many great journals this year and it's only May. I, of course, will keep featuring journals on my blog where I haven't been published, but I wanted to share my appreciation for these ones today.
Finally, here's an essay from a friend of mine @wordsonaplate about the different places she's lived and her connections to them. https://t.co/IfQBUEnNIw
I'm working up the energy to write a blog post for #poetrymonth on some poetry-focused lit journals. In the meantime, I'd thought I'd share some cool pieces from lit journals that I've read this week.
I always enjoy a good dystopian education story (it's a soft spot of mine as a teacher" so I liked this fun, absurdist glimpse into the future from Joshua Benjamin in @FunFunFunicular https://t.co/Lqq2fZtRhv
