On a 5-4 vote, Amendment 5A passes, making ADUs allowable only as a conditional use. Voting in favor: Hoffmann, Sandberg, Cate, Kinzie, St. John.

On a 8-1 vote (Susan Sandberg voting against), Plan Commission approves amendment 5B, allowing by-right ADUs w/ up to 2 bedrooms and a maximum 840 square foot size. That cap was added during the meeting. Commissioners are now discussing an amendment making ADUs a conditional use.
