Si algo debería quedarle claro a Warner/Skydance después de las filtraciones masivas de Cartoon Network de este fin de semana, es que la gente sigue MUY interesada en Cartoon Network.
Solo vean todo lo que se desató! Fandoms que revivieron, comunidades artísticas fascinadas con diseños que nunca habíamos visto y miles de personas redescubriendo el arte detrás de las caricaturas con las que crecimos.
Cartoon Network (o por lo menos el legado de sus series originales) sigue MUY presente en el imaginario colectivo.
Y creo que la nueva administración debería prestar atención a eso y no se trata simplemente de revivir todas las franquicias del pasado o vivir eternamente de la nostalgia.

Cartoon Network se convirtió en lo que fue porque se atrevió a experimentar, a darle oportunidades a nuevos creadores y a producir caricaturas que probablemente ningún otro canal se habría atrevido.

Si realmente quieren recuperar esa conexión con el público, tienen que volver a apostar por lo que hizo grande al canal en primer lugar:

My son got rear-ended in a parking lot back in June. Not his fault, clean case, insurance covered it. He dropped the car at a body shop recommended by the insurance company's "preferred network."

Three weeks later he picked it up. Looked fine from a distance. He's not dumb about cars, grew up in my garage, so he walked the perimeter before he even got in.

Rear bumper looked good. Paint matched. But he ran his hand along the seam near the taillight and felt something off. Pulled gently at the edge of the trim.

It wasn't clipped in. It was held on with double-sided tape.

He called me from the lot, phone camera already filming the gap where the clip should've been.

We brought it back. Manager insisted it was "fully repaired per insurance spec." My son pulled the trim piece off entirely in front of him and set it on the counter. Tape still attached.

The manager got quiet fast after that.

They redid it properly. No charge, obviously, and a very different tone from the staff on the way out.

I didn't raise my son to assume the worst about people. I raised him to check the seams. Those aren't the same thing.
