Courier Parcel Delivered To Wrong Address Leads Police To 48-Year-Old Foreign Drug Dealer As Controlled Delivery Uncovers Tik And 300 Mandrax Tablets Worth R195 000
A wrong-address parcel delivery led police to a 48-year-old foreign national and the seizure of illicit drugs worth an estimated R195 000 in Kimberley, Northern Cape, on Thursday, 3 September 2026. The operation was conducted by members of the Northern Cape Provincial Organised Crime Unit as part of intelligence-driven efforts targeting drug networks.
At approximately 11:00, police were summoned to a local business after a courier company allegedly delivered a parcel to the wrong address. To safeguard the parcel and facilitate a controlled delivery, a police member posed as an agent. The intended recipient was contacted and arrangements were made for the parcel to be delivered.
The controlled delivery resulted in the arrest of the intended recipient. Police also seized the cellphone used to contact the suspect. A search of the parcel uncovered Tik and 300 Mandrax tablets concealed inside a plastic bag, with an estimated street value of R195 000. A substantial amount of cash was also seized.
The 48-year-old foreign male was arrested and charged with dealing in drugs and is expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrates' Court soon. Northern Cape Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Koliswa Otola welcomed the arrest and seizure, saying the operation demonstrated SAPS's commitment to disrupting the illicit drug trade through intelligence-driven policing.

Could you please assist us in contacting her family? We have attempted to reach the Denilton police station. 0608540580
Her name is Ngele Betty Busisiwe
This is Mpanza a police officer who decided to start shooting at people and said they are blocking the streets! He was swearing at women calling them “izf***” and he further ran to the police station to open a case against March and March after injuring 10 people, our members that he had shot tried to open a case against him and the police at Mbilo Police Station refused to open a case saying he has opened a case first😳 The strange thing is the people who started the fight are in the holding cells right now for being violent but he claims it was March and March? My question is if it was March and March then why didn’t they arrest them since they were there?? SA First Forum will take this matter on in court, ngeke sidlale Amaphoyisa, using and abusing the law

JMPD LAUNCHES MAN-HUNT FOLLOWING INCIDENT IN LENASIA INVOLVING AN ON-DUTY OFFICER
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has launched a full-scale manhunt following an incident in Lenasia where an on-duty officer was disarmed of his service weapon.
Earlier today, while performing official duties in the Lenasia area, the officer was accosted by multiple male suspects. During the encounter, the suspects managed to disarm the officer before fleeing the scene in a getaway vehicle toward the Golden Highway.
No severe physical injuries to the officer have been reported at this stage. Medical and wellness support mechanisms have been activated to assist the officer involved.
