@Blu_wire11 Let me be clear - OP definitely needs to get out. I’m saying the first step is feeling okay with not going above and beyond for an unappreciative gaslighter.
BUT I do think that in a healthy relationship, it’s okay to just…be. To just be you.
No one should stay with someone consistently dismissive of their efforts.
Everyone should endlessly do things within their capacities and abilities to make their partners happy. All the time.
And they should notice then reassess being with any1 who does what he did.
@AlpineAddiction@MissKayeW@reali_panda That’s not it at all. It’s releasing herself from the need to do endless things to make him happy, especially since he doesn’t appreciate them, because all that creates is exhausted resentment.
There’s no point going above and beyond for someone who keeps letting her down.
This person..may have disdain..if not actual contempt for you.
It can be overcome with patience and effort. I assume.
But he sounds mean, disrespectful, dismissive and..not great.
Wishing you...good luck..with whatever you chose to do..*cough..divorce..cough"
Baby girl, I’m putting my shit out there. So people are gonna comment. It’s ok.
ITS A LOT OF GASLIGHTING.
He also laughed and said “you just love using your buzzwords”
I’m not stupid. I won’t get into my educational background but I know good and well what gaslighting is and he knows I know. That’s the worst part.
Jamaicans are can also be Black.
The failed education system, feuled by historic racism and zenephobia has caused such mishapened thinking in some folks.
Black people exist outside of America.
America does not own Blackness.
@hollyrpeete @SIfill_ Why are y’all trying to push the narrative and lie that she is half Black American to tie her to our specific history when she is half Afro Jamaican which has its own history and culture?
Why? Did she invent politics? Likeability, willingness to have a beer, whether they like pets, sports, fishing, meat&potatoes has literally ALWAYS been a part of politics. Connecting with and appealing to folks who want decency reflected in a leader who they identify with.#notnew
What I'm baffled by with this whole purity test is what do you all want from an answer? Is the other guy a better option if she is only Indian? Because the argument seems utterly pointless other than creating an excuse to support him.
The issue that some people have is Kamala and other politicians say and do whatever and code switch to get votes. If Kamala’s mother is not biracial and she grew up Indian and culturally is Indian and Kamala and her sister grew up primarily with their mother, then culturally she grew up Indian and not African American. There are a lot of biracial people, like President Obama who have struggled with racial identity and that is ok. However to pretend that you grew up in an African American family and you culturally identify as being African American and that African American is listed on your birth certificate and driver’s license is disingenuous. For example, Aubrey Drake Graham is biracial but grew up in Canada with his white Jewish mother. Culturally Drake grew up white Jewish. Even though his father is African American (maybe) his primary frame of reference and world view is from his family of origin. Kamala has done a cooking segment with an Indian actress and identified as being Indian. Kamala has done interviews saying she likes cooking greens as if that is a cultural reference to being African American. While Soul Food is a staple in the African American culture/community that isn’t the only thing that makes Us Black. Phenotype is one identifier but many Indians has physical features and some are even darker than many African Americans. To simply be dismissive about a real concern of some Black Voters is not ok. Kamala and other political candidates should address all concerns of voters/citizens. ❤️🖤💚✊🏾 Side note 📝 many people who are African American also are racially mixed due to the transatlantic slave trade.
There is no one way to be black. We have differences of opinions. I can't explain Tyler Perry either. I just accept that everything ain't for everyone. Black people are voting for the former president. The amount of ways we find to limit ourselves and support foolery is vast.
Not a fan of advocating violence but it's not completely off the table either. Never liked his self hating humor. And no one will get me to believe he doesn't deeply dislike black women. Never been a fan. Pokie isn't a black access card bc we don't all think crackheads are funny.
No. It's about respect and human decency, not a science test. Whether covid sticks around, kills or worsen isn't the issue. He made a choice and robbed others of their right to chose. He and the ioc are irresponsible. Getting it multiple times is exactly what some want to avoid.
@YerDefense @_shireenahmed_@jrovsovskein Like I said. People need to chill about Covid. It’s gonna stick around, and most everyone will get it multiple times. It’s like getting bent out of shape about someone competing with the flu, or a stomach virus
How do you know how she was introduced to him? Or the influence of the media on his motivation?
Other than wanting to excuse his bigotry, what is your view more plausible. Given his otherwise hate-filled conduct?
@nhannahjones I suspect the truth is more mundane. Trump met Kamala (via Willie Brown) in the 1990s and she was introduced to him as Indian.
Then suddenly in a space of a few years the media started calling Kamala black and Trump figured it's a political manuever to increase her electability.
Dear Black folks, White folks, Asian folks, Italian folks, Irish folks or any folks with sense. Stop fighting with these people attempting to define the vice president's Blackness. Please just respond..#ImStillVoting4Her
None of this nonsense is changing minds. Save your energy
The goal is not to make rules specifically for trans people because the source of potential harm is not due to their status as trans. The question is how to protect the sex that is at risk from the sex that poses the risk. Identify is irrelevant.
@bumcloud@JaneyGodley but trans people have existed as long as bathrooms, and have been large in numbers for decades. if there was harm being caused it would be well studied and ya’ll would cite it under every post. except you can’t, because this isn’t a real problem.
I'm with you until you get to north east corner. Then I'd ask you what you see. Or knowing me, I'd come out the closest exit and call you on the phone to ask you where you were. Lol
Lies. And fabrications.
Millions of people live in NYC who would need to Google that acronym much less know nothing about using it.
Utterly unnecessary.
