Caleb Shomo opened up on the Disrespectfully podcast about the moment he came out as gay to his wife of 14 years, Fleur, calling it “really, really difficult.”
He said he was “bawling my fking eyes out, trying so hard to verbalize,” and told her: “The way that, like, I feel about girls, I feel about guys… there’s something there that I’ve been running from for a long fking time.” After that conversation, he recalled, “the fking hinges got ripped out.”
Shomo said being honest about his sexuality helped him “stop hating myself so much,” leading him to therapy and a long process of self‑acceptance.
