If the Panthers find a way to win today, I’m going to be in absolutely rare form. Like I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do with myself.
Even with all the hype lately, I still think we’re pretty significant underdogs today. I’m optimistic, but I’m not delusional. This would be a BIG win.
And this is exactly why sports are so damn great.
You spend months talking about the team, analyzing every move, arguing about players, watching camp vids, reading into preseason, convincing yourself things might finally be different…
Then you get to a game like today and none of that matters anymore. They have to actually go prove it.
That tension before kickoff when you know your team might break your heart in 4 hours… but there’s also a chance they pull it off and send you into complete lunacy?
That’s the best part.
The nerves are real. The excitement is real. And when you’ve invested this much emotionally into a team, a win like this feels like way more.
If the Panthers wins today, all the offseason optimism suddenly feels a little more real.
And I’m going to be absolutely unbearable.
God help everybody around me. #KeepPounding
@Panther_Plugz_ I wanted Reed too, but really happy to see Metchie over Moore.
TE room isn’t the final product. Waller hasn’t had enough time to settle in, JT is trade bait, and Franks is a special teams star with a TE label.
Hopefully, Reed will be back.
@avl_mike Looks like a team no longer in rebuilding mode.
Wallace and Moore cut is a sign of an organization putting winning first.
Zavala still on the roster is a short term problem.(probably about 4 weeks)
This year feels different. Secondary depth is definitely different. If Will Lee can legitimately hold up outside, it gives Evero far more flexibility with Horn. And I absolutely agree with the original post: who wouldn’t want to see Jaycee roaming the middle more, matching slots, disrupting routes and letting his physicality impact more of the field?
I’m a big Bryce fan. I want him to succeed and be the franchise QB, and since Year 2 he’s passed the eye test for me. But that doesn’t mean pretending the flaws aren’t there. There were some glaring deficiencies in 2025 that he has to clean up, and this year defenses are going to force him to prove he can.
The good thing is, we shouldn’t have to argue about it much longer. After this season, we should have a pretty clear answer on whether he’s worth a long-term extension. Credit to Dan for having the patience to let the evaluation play out instead of forcing a decision too early.
I like the young guys as much as anyone, and I think Ja’Seem Reed could develop into a really good player. But I don’t understand the “Canales’ guy” stigma around David Moore.
He’s a proven vet who can still play. When have we ever consistently talked about balls bouncing off his chest or him costing the offense? He makes plays, probably knows this offense better than anyone in that room, and clearly has chemistry and trust with Bryce.
Young talent is exciting, but that doesn’t mean the reliable veteran suddenly has no value.
Fate loves irony. The greatest Panther ever might be the biggest quarterback we’ll ever see… and the next great one might be the smallest. 🙏 #BY9#KeepPounding
@PatMcAfeeShow@tyschmit#IDontWantToOverreactBUT Bryce Young is HIM.
Find me a QB who’s been dragged harder for physical limitations. I still remember this show clowning him for walking in with that tiny backpack, lol.
But at some point you have to acknowledge reality: Bryce is a DOG!
@BogeyChaser71@95KeepPounding Crazy how other teams also have drops and bad throws, yet their offenses still function. Wonder what the difference is… oh right, coaching.
I know Dave is new to the head-coach life, but at some point you have to adjust faster than this. Learning from your mistakes shouldn’t require a multi-week research grant. This league isn’t forgiving… Every game counts, and tonight it feels like we walked in with a game plan written on a napkin.
I’m not ready to declare BY the franchise guy, but I do know he’s getting zero help. The “QB whisperer” is currently whispering the wrong answers. This has been rough to sit through. #KeepPounding
