@MuellerSheWrote This sounds sus af. You busy getting hacked?

@CoachRacalto@sammwichh I dunno, man…. Like, IN GENERAL, you’re absolutely correct. But there are definitely some guys that fit your criteria I’d describe as good athletes, but not good at football.
@julesgambit Cheating? Or dedication?
No, the real troll thing to do would be to tattoo a gambit opening (like Evans) upside down onto your knuckles (so opponent can read it normally) and see how many people have the stones to play it against you.
@oldenoughtosay I was at Disney World a few years ago with my family. I find FL hot. Well, temp dropped in evening (from ~28C to ~16). I was still comfortable in t-shirt. Floridians were showing up to the park in winter coats, hats, and gloves. I was, like, jaw-dropping shocked.
@Alex_Kozora At the time, I wondered if it was actually at Najee’s request (hit the open market unobstructed sooner), but after additional interviews, this idea was incorrect.
@Alex_Kozora Said it then; I’ll say it now - they should’ve re-upped Najee when the chance presented itself. Appears on the surface to be a rare whiff by Mr. Khan.
@historyinmemes Researcher notes: “So we’re gonna go with ‘maybe’ and recommend funding for further, more detailed research”
Researcher, out loud: “Holy s***. F*** yeah!”
@Top100Rick My gripe is I’ve always seen “par” defined as “the number of strokes a proficient golfer should require to complete a hole, round or tournament.”
I’d almost rather they design a course to be really interesting, and just let “par” work itself out on averages, stdev be darned.
@MaddieHigs12@BrawlYash@orikron I respectfully disagree. It’s just our adopted upper class isn’t titled. Big chunks of the American population would absolutely go nuts for Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, or Chris Hemsworth. The same people, mind you, wouldn’t appreciate all 4. It’s different.
@ThePoniExpress The roster he inherited -& to be fair, the early draft choices he made w/Colbert- was extraordinary, & he extracted extraordinary results.
More recently, the roster has been more limited & success more a function of coaching. I agree some of his best coaching work is recent.
@jtboyd_3@CoachRacalto …and imperfect draft grades (NOBODY’S are perfect - this part isn’t a criticism), and those at least seem plausible explanations consistent with what the Steelers have done.
Khan -& I think a Tomlin willing to change- have been a breath of fresh air.
@jtboyd_3@CoachRacalto I have no insider knowledge. But fwiw, my guess is that Tomlin pushed to fill some gaps that were schematically inconvenient & Colbert allowed for that too much. (Bush, Edmunds, etc)
Combine that w/ a local bias (very Colbert) for Pitt players or players that did well vs Pitt…
@SteelersNetwork Harrison/Woodley only really had one good year together. Then Woodley signed his new deal and instantly wasn’t as good.
But when they were good, they were really good. Watt/Highsmith better as pure rushers and dropping. Harrison/Woodley for run D combined w/pass rush.
@AmandaHeldOpelt This is the sort of problem good legislation would solve.
The problem here is… a.) there is a major portion of the population (deeply impacted by this situation, I might add) trained to be “anti-big-government”
and b.) a whole lot of people that would be impacted (HGTV ppl).
@bjoewolf Anybody remember “Frank’s Not Gay” or whatever that skit was from either SNL or MadTV? It was like a spoof talk show about how Frank (maybe I have name wrong?) wasn’t gay, but the schtick was that he was obviously in the closet?
This feels like that.
@CoachRacalto I’m quite convinced he knows how to coach football.
But some of the decisions the team has made during his tenure suggest somebody (possibly not Tomlin - like maybe Colbert) had either a bad take or possibly some hubris around what players were coachable.
@Alex_Kozora “In doubt?”
Alex… like… you cover the draft. Exactly what “doubt” is there?
I’m not saying the Steelers are batting 1.000, but c’mon now: Leal, Loudermilk, Benton… and it’s not like they’re shy about promoting “competition,” either.
