I know this isn’t the official version, but…

Like so many early Church documents, Fox’s Book of Martyrs is also propaganda. A forgery.

We know history is written by the victors. We are told Nero played a fiddle while Rome burned. But who set Rome on fire? Could it have been Jews?

At that exact time in history the Romans sent legions to destroy Jerusalem. Rome did not merely engage in a war, they were trying to execute a genocide. The issue was Jews. Christians are unmentioned outside of later written Christian sources.

Rome levelled Jerusalem, slew over a million Jews, sold 55,000 into the slave markets. Reading Cicero we find that even 2000 years ago Jews were implicated in treacherous business practices.

Nero was later demonized. At that time he killed his own wife, Poppaea Sabina, who was pregnant. Did Nero learn she was Jewish? She had helped Flavius Josephus and influenced Nero a number of time concerning the Jews as mentioned in the Jewish encyclopedia. she also helped appoint Gessius Florus as procurator of Judea, whose oppressive rule helped spark the Jewish Revolt in 66 AD.

65 years after the first war, the Romans went back to Jerusalem and AGAIN levelled it to the ground, killed over a million people and sold tens of thousands into the slave markets in the Bar Kochba Revolt in 134 AD. Rome salted the fields and banished the Jews.

The early church took the records of the Jews thrown to the beasts, killed by gladiators, slaughtered by Roman soldiers and changed this genocide to ‘Christians’ in their effort to legitimize their new faith.

The historical evidence of persecution and killings by Romans were of Jews, not Christians. In fact, Christianity wouldn’t even take off until over 150 AD.

History was written by the victors. Long after these events the Jews published their own texts and endorsed the new Christian ‘martyrdom’ because it covered up the genocide by Rome, which was in response to Jewish intrigues that may have started in Nero’s own bed.
