I support the idea of salary caps, but I’m skeptical on enforcement. The NCAA turned a cold shoulder on under-the-table payments to players for years before NIL came into existence. It’s well-known players in some programs were being paid.
Football coach Kyle Whittingham wants a complete overhaul with salary caps. Basketball coach Dusty May says coaches and administrators are to blame for letting it get this bad.
Both agree: the current system isn't working.

MIKE TIRICO’S ALL-TIME GREAT OLYMPICS SIGN-OFF:
“All the young people out there, those dreams are formed now. Go chase them, our country loves sports, it brings us together unlike anything else. And if you didn’t know that: you saw it in Team USA Hockey”
I hate to be the skeptical one here, but does everyone realize that John Henry Daley literally tore his Achilles? For some reason everyone assumes he will be back to 100%, which would be rare for an edge with that style of injury. Hope I’m wrong, but the odds are against him.
Michigan ATH signee Salesi Moa is the third 5 ⭐️ in the class, QB signee Tommy Carr is now a 4 ⭐️ prospect and EDGE Tariq Boney received a well-deserved bump.

That might be the best five. But there will be great competition — a good thing. Can Link play guard? Need to be able to move and pull on lead plays there.
One of the strongest position groups next season will be the offensive line, but who starts week one for #Michigan?
Let me hear your starting five. Honestly could see several different combinations.
What about this?
- LT Blake Frazier
- LG Evan Link
- C Jake Guarnera
- RG Andrew Sprague
- RT Andrew Babalola
Had to take care of a few things this morning, but can confirm RB Bryson Kuzdzal is coming back to Michigan.
Had “a number” of Power 4 offers but once Haynes left the fold, he felt there would be enough opportunity.
“He never wanted to leave and loves it here,” a source said.
BREAKING: Michigan junior RB Bryson Kuzdzal has withdrawn from the transfer portal and will RETURN to Michigan for the 2026 season per @isaiahhole#GoBlue
BREAKING: Michigan picked up a new commitment from former Michigan State linebacker Aisea Moa, the Utah legacy who at one point was committed to Kyle Whittingham as a blue-chip high school recruit: https://t.co/vzHXWJzqfH
Salesi Moa announces he will transfer to Michigan. A top-50 recruit, signed with Utah but will flip to join the Wolverines - with his uncle, edge coach Lewis Powell, on staff.
A massive final addition to the 2026 class.
Love this pickup. Could battle for starting spot at center. Frazier and Gunnera on the left? Babalola and Link on the right? There will be great competition.
Michigan starting cornerback Jyaire Hill opts to return to Wolverines for senior season
Was viewed by some publications as a top-200 draft prospect, and had 36 tackles, 3.0 TFLs, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble and 5 pass breakups in 2025

Important addition. Experienced player. Will battle with two true freshman to develop the 2-3-4 slots on the depth chart and allow both those freshmen to redshirt.
