One of the hardest lessons I learned as a founder:

Building the tech is the easy part.

Convincing people to believe in it… That’s where it gets real.

In the early days of Bongo, no one took us seriously.

“Who’s going to watch a movie online in Bangladesh?
You can barely stream a music video!”

TV execs would laugh and wish us luck.

We spent a year walking into the offices of TV stations, film producers, music labels… Just trying to get a single signed content deal.

I told them:
“The rest of the world is going online. It’s just a matter of time before our industry follows. There’s massive demand. We just need to make access digital.”

Most said, “Maybe later.”

Some laughed.

But we kept showing up. Every week. Every pitch.

We eventually had someone say, “If these guys are silly enough to pay us for something that has no value, take my money.”

And we got the first deal. And then the next. And pretty soon, we built a huge library of content which we got for next to nothing.

And when the industry changed, smartphones got cheap, and 4G internet became mainstream, we already had the content nobody else could touch.

That became our moat.

Fast forward to today, building @SIXR_cricket feels familiar.

People look at cricket IP and partnerships with legends
like Chris Gayle or Afridi and say, “Oh, cool marketing.”

But it’s not marketing. It’s foundational.

In new industries, what you lock in early defines who can catch up later.

Others are still debating if Web3 really matters.

We’re building something that’s going to matter before they decide.
