I think ppl are just mad bc this means DM gets more complex as it will add depth to their story bc if they explore that theory it means adapting past DM the way God (Anne) intended. And that is not smth that people who ship Armand with others or don’t want DM to have screentime, particularly like or welcome. In my opinion aging up Daniel was one of the decisions they made for this reason specifically, to be able to explore this rs at different stages of Daniel’s life. Making it deeper than the OG.
