Xmas tip: Consider inviting a friend, who is on their own, over for lunch or dinner on Xmas or boxing day... I had this privilege some years ago, and I had a great time with a fam I otherwise didn't know, bar one. Good mind boost. But don't be pushy, being alone is not a crime.

@JocelyneDucas @RethinkRomance For your kid, the acknowledgement can be important (validation), but it doesn't necessarily have to be a formal diagnosis in their medical record, which can indeed have other consequences later. Often schools can work with just a letter from the psych.
