The whole point of this is that Jim is asking what manga has over comic books, and that is the answer we came up with, that it's more accessible for people with less commitment.

If I wanna read One Piece, I'll start at vol 1. If I wanna start Superman, sure I could start at Rebirth, but then I'd have to play catch up with years of history.
