Thinking on it more, Castti in general has my second favorite climax in Octopath 2.

The fight with Trousseau is both fun and stressful, as his main gimmick is pelting you with status effects while his poison rain constantly drains your HP.

Also his sprites are just godly….

Even though Trousseau was her former apprentice and friend, he’s too far gone to be reasoned with, and Castti steels her resolve to kill him in order to save hundreds of lives below.
