At least I got nice workout.... and a pool to cool off 💪🫠
Because there are thousands of commercially produced glitter varieties, finding identical glitter particles can provide strong forensic evidence linking a suspect to a crime scene.
Glitter has several surprisingly important real-world uses beyond arts and crafts.
In forensic science, investigators treat glitter as trace evidence under the principle that “every contact leaves a trace,” a concept introduced by French criminologist Edmond Locard in the early 1900s. Because manufacturers produce thousands of glitter formulations that vary in size, shape, color, coatings, and chemical composition, matching glitter particles can help connect a suspect to a crime scene when considered alongside other evidence.
The same concept is also used as a tamper-evident security measure. Some hardware security researchers and privacy-conscious travelers apply glitter nail polish over the screws of laptops or other electronic devices before handing them to customs officials, airport security, or repair technicians. They photograph the random glitter pattern, which serves as a microscopic fingerprint. If the device is opened, reproducing that exact arrangement of particles is virtually impossible, making unauthorized access far easier to detect.
A similar approach has even been adopted in nuclear safeguards. The International Atomic Energy Agency has developed tamper-indicating seals that rely on unique microscopic particle patterns. Inspectors photograph each seal when it is applied and compare the pattern during future inspections. Because the arrangement cannot realistically be duplicated, any difference provides strong evidence that the seal has been disturbed.
Whether protecting a laptop, examining forensic evidence, or securing containers of nuclear material, the underlying principle is the same: a random arrangement of microscopic particles creates a one-of-a-kind physical fingerprint that is extraordinarily difficult to counterfeit.
John Cena: “I can see out there...”
Rey Mysterio: *Falls*
John Cena: “Holy moly!”
The time Rey Mysterio broke the shelf while doing pull-ups.
Edge instantly started laughing, and Rey started laughing on the floor! 😂
Tekken 8 recreated the entire viral incident of the man protecting his dog from a kangaroo with Leroy and Sugar even down to giving Leroy the man's exact outfit. This is hilarious!
