'Dr. STONE' artist Boichi:
"Pirated manga readers are not our opponents. They are our future audience. They are proof that demand already exists."
Boichi says many manga fans around the world still lack access to legal manga because some countries have no publishing infrastructure, translation systems, or distribution networks
"Telling manga fans in those countries, 'You should buy manga,' is meaningless if there is no actual way for them to buy it."
He argues that affordable digital manga services are key to expanding the industry globally and creating opportunities for future creators

Some in the market have also raised concerns about losses and the possibility of capital impairment. Modhaus recorded an operating loss of 7.3 billion KRW (~US$5.3 million) last year. However, the company says this must be understood in the context of the entertainment industry’s investment structure.
Baek explained: “The entertainment business requires significant upfront capital for IP creation and development in its early stages. The losses reflected in our financial statements are the result of growth investments.”
“Because production is often carried out using advance payments from distributors or partners, liabilities tend to increase from an accounting perspective. This does not mean there is an issue with the company’s operations.”
The IPO (initial public offering) has also been set as a long-term goal. The company plans to select an underwriter in the second half of this year.
“Our goal is to reach break-even (BEP) next year. Rather than the IPO itself being the goal, it will be the result of building a sustainable IP and platform ecosystem.”
Modhaus recorded revenue of 32.3 billion KRW (23.4M USD) last year. Driven by tripleS and ARTMS, its album, concert, and merchandise (MD) businesses grew, while its proprietary fandom platform COSMO also surpassed 10 billion KRW (7.25M USD) in revenue. With both its artist business and platform business growing in a balanced manner, the company succeeded in achieving meaningful growth in scale.
Vice CEO Baek said, "Many people see Modhaus as an entertainment company, but internally we are focused on building a structure in which both IP and the platform grow together. The key is a virtuous-cycle model in which we acquire fans through content and then expand the fan experience on the platform."
Modhaus is aggressively expanding its IP business. Following tripleS's comeback this month, comebacks from idntt and ARTMS are scheduled for the second half of this year. The company is also preparing to launch a new group.
Baek added, "The Japanese market in particular is considered one of the key pillars of our future growth strategy. tripleS is aiming to release a full-group Japanese album in January next year."

Algumas pessoas me reconheciam.
