Blue Peter (15th May 1972). Lesley Judd makes her first BP appearance, although not as a presenter (instead, as a Young Generation dancer, she was on hand to put Val, Pete and John through their performing paces). Lesley would be credited as a BP presenter from June 1972 onwards.

After 146 editions, #NoelEdmonds draws the doors of the Swap Shop to a close. Having started out as Multi-Coloured Swap Shop in October 1976, the three-hour live Saturday morning show also featured #KeithChegwin, #JohnCraven and, later, #MaggiePhilbin.
The first edition of Vision on was broadcast on this day 62 years ago. A programme I was fascinated by as a child. This sticker was recently given to me by Vision On creator Clive Doig. #visionon#BBCChildrensProgrammes
