Remembering PNoy: A Selfless Leader and Public Servant
One of my regrets in life is that I was not able to talk to PNoy more after his term ended because of the circumstances beyond my control.
I was unjustly detained in 2017 based on trumped-up charges filed against me by the Duterte administration. Although he was able to visit me several times, our time to catch up was very limited.
I was still in detention when PNoy died in 2021. It was deeply saddening to have lost a great leader and dear friend. What made it even more heartbreaking was that I was not able to attend his wake to pay my final respects.
Today is even more meaningful as I also remember that exactly two years ago, I was finally cleared of all the bogus charges against me.
His exemplary leadership and enduring legacy will forever remain a source of inspiration and strength.
He stood firm in serving Filipinos with honesty and accountability, and he was unwavering in his loyalty to, and love for our country.
Salamat, PNoy.
We miss you, Sir

It was such a joy getting to spend time with Joe and Jill, George and Laura, and Bill and Hillary last week. Barack and I will always be grateful for your constant friendship and support of our family over the years.ย
(And George, thanks for the mints!)
May problema talaga tayo as a nation kasi who votes for a 3-time plunderer into office at halos kalahati ng mga senador eh sangkot sa corruption at krimen.
A word to the Majority Senators:
Do not mistake silence for support.
If you think the public is applauding the continued paralysis of the Senate, think again.
This is no longer about principle. It is increasingly about preserving Alan Cayetano's leadership.
And if you continue holding the Senate hostage for that purpose, the public's frustration will not stop with him. It will extend to every senator who enabled it.
The people elected you to govern, not to protect a Senate presidency.
Power is temporary. Public judgment lasts much longer.
The Holocaust at Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas of antisemitism, words, stereotypes & prejudice, through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder of Jewish people.
The Holocaust took time.

Please give our beloved country her deserving break: Wala munang Duterte!
We are reminded Duterte's crimes against humanity doesn't stop with EJKs and the War on Drugs. Duterte's leadership has brought out the worst in many Filipinos. The erosion of morality and values in Philippine society to me, is his greatest crime.

No one is surprised. Vice President Sara Duterteโs declaration of her 2028 presidential bid is nothing new. Time and again, we have said that seeking the presidency is one of her familyโs paths to evade calls for justice and accountability, particularly for the alleged extrajudicial killings and plunder that they are accused of.
Yet the timing of her announcement is telling. It comes just days before the House of Representatives is set to hold committee hearings on new impeachment complaints against her, and as the International Criminal Court (ICC) prepares to examine charges against her father, Rodrigo Duterte.
Afraid obviously to face the serious charges, she and her family desperately hope to frame them as mere political attacks meant to derail their political ambitions. Saraโs presidential declaration is, in effect, a new โpalusot,โ an excuse to distract and divert the public.

โWE DONโT WANT ANOTHER DUTERTE REGIME IN MALACAรANGโ
WATCH: Gabriela Rep. Sarah Elago says Vice President Sara Duterte should first face corruption allegations against her before setting her sights on the presidency in 2028.
Duterte is facing three impeachment complaints in the House of Representatives, including one endorsed by Elago and her colleagues in the Makabayan bloc. | @bylancemejico
Exactly.
Duterte did not just encourage murder as a sloppy way to enforce justice, but he also encouraged disloyalty to the country by being shamelessly pro-China.
The effect?
We have the likes of Alan Cayetano and Marcoleta who think itโs okay to be Chinaโs bitches.
Amid impassioned debates and the breathtaking ignorance of some lawmakers, letโs not forget the real faces of those whoโve sacrificed so much to defend our rights in the West Philippine Sea and the Kalayaan Island Group.
MARCOLETA AND CAYETANO are the most annoying, irritating voices in the @senatePH today. Their gift of gab are not meant to make smart arguments on an issue but rather to wear you down just listening to the noise pollution they emit from their traitorous mouths. #TsinadorTraydor
