Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Blue River Community Foundation will be sending a check for $4,010 to the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina to support their continued efforts to raise their community after Hurricane Helene.
Blue River Community Foundation’s (BRCF) winter scholarship application cycle is now open at https://t.co/YhrI1pRfF7. Scholarships awarded during this cycle will be distributed during the summer of 2025 for the 2025-26 academic year. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2025.
The BRCF Board of Directors met the 100% board giving requirement through Lilly Endowment to allow our organization to recieve a $100K unrestricted board engagement grant.

**October is National Estate Planning Awareness Month**
The BRCF Pillar Society includes those who have named the BRCF as the beneficiary of any type of planned or deferred gift, and have chosen to be listed as a member of the Society.

SC residents can make donations to help with the hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina by making a donation to the Shelby County Disaster Recovery Fund until 10/31. BRCF will send all donations to the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. https://t.co/hpGB4nk5AE
Indiana University’s President Dr. Pamela Whitten visited BRCF officials and partners yesterday to learn more about Shelby County while paying homage to Bill Garrett, visiting both of his local murals. Artist Pamela Bliss who completed the most recent mural is also an IU grad.
