Presidents don’t get to dictate private business prices — that’s called price controls, and it usually backfires. Oil at ~$68-75/barrel is great, but retail gas includes refining, transport, distribution, state taxes, and retailer margins (which lag crude drops by weeks). National average is already falling to ~$3.85-4.00/gallon. Demanding $2.50 instantly while blaming ‘gouging’ ignores basic economics. California taxes are high, sure, but this sounds a lot like the ‘Big Government’ intervention you used to rail against.
