In a recent study out of the University of Michigan, researchers used #TempTraq and were able to distinguish infection vs. non-infection related febrile neutropenia (FN) in Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) patients by machine learning analysis of continuous body temp data collected using a wearable sensor. "Such a prediction could expedite the identification of FN patients without infection potentially enabling sooner antibiotic cessation and earlier hospital discharge."
