@srihicks@twalatka They said they made that call based on exit polls. The people answering the exit polls were almost all fro Gore.
But they did it before the polls closed in western Florida. It was a suppression tactic that worked, just not quite well enough.
@srihicks@twalatka There's a history of that, certainly. I remember in 2000, the networks called Florida for Gore when Gore was 50,000 votes BEHIND, and the polls in the western part of the state were still open. When Gore was 100,000 votes behind, they changed it to "too close to call."
For everybody who promised to leave the country if Trump won you can leave. For everybody else regardless of political affiliation let’s all work together to make the best of these next 4 years.
@SteveHallAuthor I remember in 2000, the networks called the state for Gore before the polls in the western part of the state were closed, when Gore was behind by 50,000 votes. They didn't retract that call until Gore was behind by 100,000 votes, at which time is was "too close to call."
@SteveHallAuthor Have you ever watched election night coverage before? They always call states, and the eventual winner of the election, before all the numbers are in.
@lisachristinect She was elected by her district. I would have been happy to see her sent home, but it's the rest of the state that should react by voting red.
@SaintHoax@FLOTUS When Obama was president and Biden was vice president, ISIS threw gay people off rooftops, and Obama & Biden didn't do a damned thing about it. Trump is leading a WORLDWIDE effort to decriminalize homosexuality.
