This evening 50 years ago 1,000s of people went out into the streets of Birmingham to meet friends & family. Over 200 of these people eventually made it home, some with life changing injuries, 21 others never saw the light of day again! 200, 21, Zero Justice - Law & Order?

Everyone at Birmingham City is shocked and saddened to learn of the news that our former goalkeeper, Matija Sarkic, has passed away at the age of 26.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and all those that knew him.

#RIP Paul Holmes aged just 56.. A decent full back who only played for @BCFC 12 times in the 92/93 season. Finance dictated that he was sold to @Everton like many that season.

Small Heath sacked him and he signed for Woolwich Arsenal
