We spent over £100m on him, yet our midfield still looks like a midfield we invested nothing in.

Left for me, I think they should hold off on transfers for now and see how the World Cup goes. A lot of quality players will break out during the tournament, and since Alonso is involved in recruitment, he can scout and pick the right profiles from there.

Santos cannot leave.
Santos is a combination of Enzo and Caicedo. He is even better than Enzo Fernandez.
Chelsea should invest in him, give him more playing time, and see how good he can be.
