Shot/chaser… Judge in David Hearn reflecting pool case instructed government to leave the pool alone to preserve evidence.
Meanwhile the government is ripping up sections of the pool per photog on the scene.
"He didn't care" - Texas Ag Commissioner Miller going scorched earth on Gov Abbott over data centers, ramping up attacks on the governor who endorsed Miller's GOP primary opponent #txlege
“The moral of the story is Stephen Miller is a terrible neighbor, on a mission to take away our first amendment rights.”

“It is ironic that in the same week Trump eliminated over 90 percent of two of our greatest and most majestic national monuments, Big Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante (handing over 3 million acres of public lands to private oil drilling and mining interests), he attempts to blame catastrophic Canadian wildfires on lack of forest management.
Trump’s actions in Utah on behalf of a lobbying effort by private industry was the largest rollback of public land protections in American history.
Corruption which will come with an incalculable cost.
It may not be fully evident to most folks what we are losing in such rapid fire succession: I’m not sure the United States has faced a greater emergency than what we are enduring in this second Trump term.
POTUS has singlehandedly made the climate disasters we are facing worse and doomed protected species and sacred indigenous places to extinction. He is selling things that don’t belong to him and essentially pocketing the money. It is the greed and malfeasance of men like him that is mostly to blame for this planet’s worsening ecological crisis.
Trump is the greatest threat to the environment this world has known. His ignorance and venality will cause untold suffering for generations to come. Wisdom will be lost, and millions will go without, so one man and his corporate cronies can continue to profit from the plundering and destruction of our planet.” https://t.co/oJ92dTZUir
ICE smashed the window of a disabled Iraq War veteran, on his way to work, pepper-sprayed him, dragged him out at gunpoint, and locked him up for three days without charges.
This is fascism.
https://t.co/du9bv2U4pY confirms that George Retes is a citizen, a disabled U.S. Army veteran who served his country in Iraq.
Federal agents smashed his truck window, sprayed him with chemical agents, detained him for three days, denied him contact with his family, and released him without charges. He missed his daughter’s third birthday while sitting in a cell.
No person on American soil should fear being treated this way, least of all a citizen and veteran at the hands of his own government. A nation that can do this to a U.S. citizen and veteran can do it to anyone.

This dandy from the WSJ Editorial Board:
"Since Mr. Trump declassified the memo, we can quote the part he didn’t. “Vote tabulation systems would be difficult to manipulate on a wide enough scale to compromise election results,” it says. “The systems in each voting location are not connected to the Internet or to each other, and many methods for exploiting them rely on physical proximity.” Achieving it across many jurisdictions “would be difficult” and “audits and paper trails very likely would uncover such an effort."
...
"Unfortunately, the message from Mr. Trump and others has been that America’s elections can’t be trusted, and the only hope is the SAVE America Act. Aside from being untrue, this is a political backfire for the GOP. If Republican voters believe it, and the bill falls short, then why waste time going to the polls in November? Has the GOP already forgotten how Mr. Trump’s fraud outbursts cost them two Senate seats in the 2021 Georgia runoffs?"

OSSOFF on Trump Address: At a moment when his war spirals out of control, instead of focusing on the nation's needs, as always, he nurses his grievances and he forces the rest of us to help him process his shame. As always, he centers his own fear of the accountability that he will face when we win decisively this fall.
Our answer will be decisive. We won't just restore checks and balances for the next two years. We will rebuke him so decisively that no president will dare try this kind of brazen corruption and abuse again for centuries.
Shoutout to all the Christians who spent the week calling Christopher Nolan 'woke' because Helen of Troy being Black isn't 'historically accurate' but woke up this morning and went to church to worship before white, blonde hair, blue-eyed Jesus.
You're the real hypocrites.
#BREAKING: Psaki: “After @FoxNews played all 27 minutes of @realDonaldTrump’s speech, and they did, letting him make all his outrageous allegations, they quickly brought on a reporter to give this fun little disclaimer. [‘Fox News has not seen that evidence yet is not in a position to evaluate the accuracy of the president’s statements and claims at this time.’]…now, to add insult to injury Fox didn’t even keep talking about the speech after that. That’s pretty much it. They changed the subject almost immediately. So much for Trump’s big splashy subject-changing, narrative-changing speech. And then this morning, Trump’s personal favorite show @foxandfriends IGNORED his speech ENTIRELY. Now, Fox and Friends is a THREE HOUR long show. They have A LOT of time for segments on there. They had time this morning for segments about the World Cup, and country music star Toby Keith, and the dating app Hinge, and WNBA star Caitlin Clark, and the Fast and Furious franchise…but they didn’t have time for a segment about Trump’s presidential address. Now, that one’s gonna kind of sting. Who knows what he was doing, flipping through the channel maybe throwing remotes? We don’t know.” 😂😳
Politicians usually show up at the border to demonize & fear-monger.
We just drove 750 miles from El Paso to the Valley to show off the beauty & potential of our border communities.
We’re showing up for Texans along the border who've been left behind by both political parties.
On April 15, 2025, Donald Trump went on Truth Social to celebrate Nvidia and promise that “all necessary permits will be expedited and quickly delivered.”
His followers had no way of knowing that days earlier he had purchased between $200,000 and $500,000 of Nvidia stock.
This wasn’t an isolated incident.
Trump promoted more than 20 companies on Truth Social after buying their stock, sometimes while announcing government actions that could benefit those same companies.
The President of the United States is buying stock, publicly promoting those companies from his official platform, and in some cases announcing government actions that could increase their value.
No American should have to wonder whether presidential decisions are being made for the public good or for the President’s investment portfolio.
That is a profound conflict of interest and a betrayal of the public trust.
This conduct must be addressed by Congress and the courts. The President should never be allowed to profit from the market-moving power of the office.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.
The National Archives keeps the actual Constitution at 67 degrees in cases that monitor pressure, humidity, and light down to fine detail. The new exhibit under the Lincoln Memorial has let its case hit more than 80 degrees, with a fan pointed at it like a stopgap because the climate system cannot hold. A preservation specialist put it plainly. Decay is a chemical process, and heat speeds it up. These are not minor numbers to miss by. They are the difference between documents lasting another century and documents beginning to yellow, corrode, and crack within a loan period that runs through next year.
The copy of the Emancipation Proclamation on display is one of 27 surviving from the 1864 printing Lincoln personally signed to raise money for wounded soldiers and grieving families. The 13th Amendment copy is one of just 15, carrying the signatures of 37 senators and 114 House members alongside his own. These are not replaceable objects. A facsimile exists precisely so no one has to gamble the originals on a display case that cannot hold its own temperature.
Add a broken sally port security system that let a child push through both sets of doors at once, a weekend power outage that closed the museum entirely, and a glass door that shattered on a visitor, and the pattern stops looking like bad luck. It looks like a building that opened before it was ready, holding pieces of the country's founding promise that cannot be uncracked once they crack.
Oyer: "I had great hope Blanche would be an effective leader and responsible steward of the DOJ, but he quickly proved me wrong. Two days after Blanche was confirmed as deputy AG, he fired me from my position as DOJ's career pardon attorney. I declined to rubber stamp a political favor for a friend of the president, and it cost me my job. Mr Blanche's office had asked me to restore the gun rights of a convicted domestic abuser ... I was shocked to hear Blanche's testimony about this yesterday. What he said about my firing is provably false."
This is actually crazy. In just the last 4 months, Ken Paxton has purchased home(s) for his mistress, given a plea deal to a pedophile, and gone on at least one multi-stop international vacation with said mistress.
DURING A CAMPAIGN.
He either:
A) Doesn’t actually want to win.
B) Is arrogant enough to believe that he will win despite these blatantly scummy things.
C) Knows something we don’t about questionable election security shenanigans ahead this November.
Because WTF.
NEW: Ken Paxton bought three condos in a luxury resort in Utah earlier this year. On the deeds, he listed a home in Frisco as his address.
Police reports we obtained refer to the home's owner as a woman, who is not his wife, that Mr. Paxton has been recently photographed with.
