It got worse :)
Not only do I still not have my package a week after it was supposed to be delivered, I was flat out lied to by Fedex support who said they would deliver it today and are now telling me they can't. It's phenomenal how they can't do their ONLY JOB.

@wandussyy @johnmalcolm1970 @ReineDeTout @edzitron @proales As a Brit who bought a portable AC unit this year because I was done with the inescapable heat and humidity, I'm on your side. I've never been this comfortable working from home in the summer. I've had the opinion AC is needed here since I was a kid.

@edzitron If you live in a 1 story apartment you can get this thing to cool your whole apartment to a comfortable temperature for sure. If you're in a multi story house though you'd probably only really get 1 floor. But just having it cool my workspace and bedroom, worth every penny.

@edzitron I bought one of those portable AC units where you attach a thing to your window and stick a pipe out of it, for less than £250 on Amazon (and you can get less powerful ones for less) and honestly it has been an absolute godsend the last few days.

Nothing like BT fucking up my order I placed 3 weeks ago, and then going "we need to send out an engineer, earliest we can do is February" as if I haven't been waiting for 3 fucking weeks already. I work from home, my whole ass job NEEDS internet. Fucking useless.

@shwood @modernrogueshow We almost lost our bearded dragon because her tank was on the floor and filled with water, she was almost fully under when we managed to get in and rescue her. Was a scary moment.

So our house flooded and my really nice playing card decks from @modernrogueshow @shwood were sadly completely ruined, however their greatest magic trick yet, one I don'y even think they knew would happen... The card faces have completely disappeared!

@shwood @modernrogueshow That would actually be amazing! I just shot over an email. The story is a classic local council screwup tbh, they built a new road without considering the outcome, the road has blocked the route for water to drain and my apartment caught the brunt of it.

Hey @PowerGPU @chillblast @IronsidePC this is a total hail mary but my PC was destroyed and it's a huge part of my livelihood as a video editor, and content creator. If there is anything you could do this would absolutely mean the world to us. I understand if not though.

@DaydreamDeuce We live on a small gravel road with only a few people and we were only 1 of 2 houses effected, the other house the guy doesn't really live in. I don't know if we'll see him again before we move but if I do I can mention it!
