A few months ago, our Director-General (@TheCharlesOdii) met a Nigerian creative with an extraordinary catalogue of music.

His work had touched lives, generated streams and created real commercial value. Yet, when he approached a bank for financing, he was turned away because his greatest asset, his intellectual property, was not understood as collateral.

That conversation highlighted a challenge many Nigerian creatives and innovators still face.

To help solve this problem, we’ve signed a partnership agreement with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) @wipo to help Nigerian entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives understand, protect and commercialise their intellectual property.

Protecting your ideas through patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets does more than secure ownership. It increases the value of your business and opens doors to licensing, partnerships, investment and new opportunities.

Our vision is simple: a Nigeria where ideas are recognised as valuable assets that create wealth, jobs and prosperity.

Took off my cap today because it’s one of those days when I feel so much less of a hero the world sees but more human-vulnerable and deeply flawed on many levels.
I’ve felt deep anxiety about a lot of things lately, as I’ve been traveling a lot and it continually feels like I’m in a constant race against time and trying too hard to make the most of the opportunities and blessings God keeps sending my way even when I feel so unprepared for it- oh the quiet scandal of grace.
But I came across a bible verse today which was such a beautiful and timely reminder that if he dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor, how much more will he clothe you?
If he watched over every sparow how much more does he love us?

Such deep reassurance of how God’s love surrounds us even when our thoughts wage war.

Regardless what lies ahead, we are promised the nearness of God to help us face our fears and get through our hurt. And when uncertainty keeps us anxious, we are anchored in the one thing that is certain- God’s love

I feel a lot less burdened now and can continue to walk through the chaos whilst resting in his stillness because I am a man after God’s own heart and he will take care of me through all of my highs and lows with the abundant love and delicate care with which he adorns the lilies and sparrows.
