Hi @Fashion_Museum do you have a Victorian exhibit open to the researchers? If not, are there additional items in archives for researchers? I’m currently going some work on Victorian women’s clothing and crime
On Monday Boris Johnson’s Gov’t will rush the Policing bill through the Commons. It contains some of the most draconian crackdowns on the right of peaceful protest any of us have seen in our lifetime.
Everyone needs to watch this so please RT. Johnson’s Gov’t must be stopped
A parent sends me her 11 year old daughter's food package. The chicken goes off tomorrow and the bread on the 16th January. It's supposed to be 2 weeks' worth of food.
Some people ask: Why would you impeach and convict a president who has only a few days left in office? The answer: Precedent. It must be made clear that no president, now or in the future, can lead an insurrection against the U.S. government.
Let me be very clear: if all we do is accept the certified Electoral College results and go home, we would have failed our country. We must impeach Trump, or have the 25th Amendment execute, or have @realDonaldTrump resign. Congress cannot just go home like nothing happened.
Maybe I’m tired and acting out-of-character this morning but sitting at my desk watching this just made me literally weep with bittersweet relief in a way I hadn’t anticipated. https://t.co/7E2PfcdmJj
@PeterFifield (Not that it affects your point, but the University of Manchester end date is not the 16th but the 18th, so, like a lot of other places, we have two full weeks after the travel window:)
‘Johnson to give Vote Leave ally key No 10 role in shake-up’ - it appears that a golden rule for understanding who gets a job or contract with this Government, is they are likely to be either friends or family of Dominic Cummings
Oh, well this is exciting. @michaelgove has come out to play. Michael, you refused to answer qs about what you knew as co-convener of Vote Leave of the massive illegal overspending in the last days of campaign. How about we start with that? And then move on to these contracts?
@malorieblackman If anyone were to have read her literature they would know that she was devoutly religious and would not appreciate being represented by a nude figure of ‘woman’. Make an actual statue of Woolstonecraft with clothes on. Respect her and her legacy. CELEBRATE.
