Sweet Duncan looks like a solid little guy, but still, I was a little surprised that he weighed in at 50 1/2 lbs! He will be vaccinated, tested for heartworms, microchipped and neutered today. He will be #availableforadoption soon!

Koda is staying inside the barn tonight but clearly, he’s already looking like he’s putting today’s ordeal in the rear view mirror and doesn’t seem to be holding a grudge. For tonight, Koda’s goats are staying under the watchful eye of #LGD Crush so Koda can take the night off.

I just ran Duncan’s photo through the Dog Scanner app, and I don’t mind admitting— I don’t know some of the breeds it suggests. I just called to make his appointment for neuter and vaccinations, and when they asked his breed, I said 🤔 Let’s just call him a Lab mix for now. 🤷‍♀️

Our little visitor is making himself quite comfortable while he’s here. We have scanned him for a microchip (none found), reported him to local shelters as a found dog, and posted him on NextDoor as well as in various groups on Facebook. Stay tuned to see if someone claims him!

Bronwyn has gotten a little big for the 36” crate, but it’s right next to my desk, so she often goes inside to nap. Crate doors are always open except at meal times and overnight. We want the dogs to see crates as just another piece of furniture, where they can relax any time.

Venus is one of our #formerlyferal dogs who came to us with her sister Serena more than 5 years ago. The girls were believed to be 5 years old then, so they are seniors now and have spent half their life in rescue. Apply to adopt and give her a long-awaited forever home!

Look at the pretty frosted face! You probably wouldn’t guess by her looks, but Venus’s mom was a Great Pyrenees, a working livestock guardian dog. Dad was a Pointer. We got her spayed/vaccinated & taught her to live inside. Venus is almost 10 yrs old but deserves a forever home.

Miss Lovey had her annual checkup today and as expected, got a clean bill of health. Tomorrow she will get a few goats of her own, so today is her last day to have the paddock all to herself. #greatpyrenees #rescuedogsoftwitter

How is this sweet boy not adopted yet?!! Giacomo (aka Jock) is about 2.5 years old, a solid 38 lbs. Jock is a very friendly, affectionate pup. He gets along with dogs of all sizes. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. #rescuedog #heeler
