If Adani deal goes through, no new airport or new improvement should be made at any other aiport to compete with JKIA. This is all in public domain.

Simply put Mombasa Aiport can remain a kiosk for 30 years. Kiss goodbye to any hope for Malindi expansion, Diani as well.

We are already falling behind Zanzibar and many other competing beach destination. Even 5 years delay means alot let alone 30 years. Why would anyone sensible enough commit to such a lopsided deal ?

Adani is not just about JKIA , It will affect numbers coming to Mombasa directly who end up in Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi and even as far away as Amboseli in Kajiado County.

High Court grants LSK and KHRC's request for leave to file a judicial review to challenge the KAA's decision to lease JKIA to Adani for 30 years.

Our system of government needs to change, like yesterday. We cannot afford it, and it is not serving Kenyans.

Kenya, a country whose economy is 21 times smaller than Texas', had in 2022-2023, over 2,643 politicians in various offices in the country. For context, Texas with its economy that is 21 times bigger than Kenya, had 181 politicians in its local parliament, which is 7% of the number in Kenya. This is insane! In a country where the average income per year is about USD 2,000.

In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, Kenya paid out KSH 1,339,897,723 in MCA "Sitting Allowances". Never mind that these MCAs never really "sit", because they are always travelling somewhere, either domestically or internationally.

For example, Bungoma in that same year, charged you and I KSH 20,758,395 in Foreign Travel (including KSH 4.7 million for a benchmarking study in Uganda), KSH 696,240,000 in Domestic Travel, KSH 227,000,000 in Cars and Mortgages for MCAs, and KSH 43,309,703 in MCA Allowances. Bungoma has 63 MCAs, with an economy of about $2.1 billion. Basically, the size of 2 Walmart stores!

Folks - punda amechoka. We cannot do this anymore. We are bankrupting our country.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to hear of a "benchmarking" study to anywhere.

Our system of government serves only the corrupt politicians. Period, end of story.

JKIA Port health it's about time we called you out @KenyaAirports . Daktari @DrPatrickAmoth it's about time you cleaned this mess.

Tourism players have tried to be diplomatic and friendly for your officers to STOP harrasing visitors to Kenya demanding for yellow fever certificates and even where they present a certificate you claim it's fake.

They also claim a certificate is expired when a jab these days is for lifetime .

Why does an Indian expat based in UAE require a yellow fever vaccination card ?

Immigrations and Customs are on same page with us and work very well to support Kenya grow it's numbers.

I am afraid we will NOT sit back as your these officers make nonsense of all the hard work we do to get tourists to come to Kenya.

Do these chaps know that we have many Africans who are now avoiding to transit through JKIA due to their bad manners of pushing for bribe .

We now ask visitors to Kenya not to be cowed by these misfits where they even threaten to arrest you. They are very rough with West Africans even when they have their health papers in order. In the process these Africans are avoiding to fly our national carrier @KenyaAirways then opt to transit through Addis or even worse Doha or Dubai.

Your excellency @WilliamsRuto if it's one department that is making nonsense of our hard work is port health. We have had enough . We have pleaded that JKIA is placed under one command of the MD KAA who will in turn liaise with the seniors at other state agencies. We currently have junior officers like at the port health who feel that they report elsewhere and JKIA management are toothless but JKIA & KAA take all the flak on their behalf.

To these rogue officers Airport has CCTV coverage, you will all be exposed . Remain professional and do your work. If you think you role is to squeeze bribes , we will squeeze you before you squeeze our hard to get visitors.
