The Monopoly board game teaches us not to collect a wage ($200) periodically and spend it. The point of it (and life) is to buy assets that build wealth over time via ownership not labor. Don’t just teach our youth the game, teach the applicable mindset.
@boredjew@briantylercohen Your tweet indicates “from,” which implies they are in the US.
Regardless, what makes you think God would have a different message for ANY group of people? We are commanded to care for everyone.
@boredjew@briantylercohen “For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.”
Deuteronomy 15:11 KJV
@grlfrmboston@vinit_2283@madebykemmy Have you considered the possibility that the soulmate that God could have for you may be short, and that you’d miss out on the abundance planned for your life because of a mostly superficial preference?
@amyb4049ij “Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.”
Isaiah 55:7 NLT
@AcervoCharts Y’all seem surprised at what God can do. Note that she prayed about her match.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
Ephesians 3:20
@DoubleEaux7@jasminexETH I guess the point wasn’t clear in my last message. To take your example: Shaq had a brand worth that likely exceeded what Papa John’s wanted on their near quarter balance sheet. It made sense (due to his stardom) to book that value as equity. Hall’s value is in the cash realm.
@DoubleEaux7@jasminexETH Yes in some cases. However it’s start ups that cannot pay brand promotion value and need the endorsement. Would you rather give your gardener equity in your house for services provided, or pay him/her outright?
@CFPistone@ResiVeteran@GMC What was their threat? They signed a contract. It wasn’t under coercion. What could their basis have been? I hope you ignored them.
@BenoDaBosss@herchosenpath Your propensity to inject Black people into a situation that clearly has nothing to do with us says A LOT about your insecurity.
@MikeSwords@CulturedUpdatez@OfficialCrowder I think he means he’s utilizing a 5% Safe withdraw rate after inflation. I’m guessing he misspoke or confused what his advisor told him.
Also, with more than a 30 year runway, he has to be speaking of only a portion of his portfolio. In the market, a 5% SWR is risky long term
@BlacDollaTV@CulturedUpdatez@OfficialCrowder I hope this is satire. The $300k is annual income (5% after inflation). There is no reasonable investment that would generate $3.6million a year from a $6million base.
@hallpass38@CulturedUpdatez@OfficialCrowder I think you mean Invesco. I also think the 5% spoken of is the gentleman’s safe withdraw rate after inflation (8% total annually). If housing is taken care of, then 300k is a nice income to live on. Only problem is that 5% hasn’t been proven to last 30 years for all markets.
@KatJovan23@pelagiusreborn Maybe not hip dips. However over weight women do make significantly less over the course of a career. Should they not be loved?
