There is a part in The Batman where he gently eases a gun out of Catwoman's hand after convincing her to spare a big villain.
And people say Matt Reeves doesn't understand or like Batman just cos he went the "grounded" route.

While some characters are pretty realistically well-written in a way they makes sense here. Neither too cheesy nor exaggerating. It’s kind of series that’s easy and pleasant to watch.

"people aren't gonna be paying attention to you" is a dumb truism that can't protect you from the inevitable judgemental gaze you'll encounter outside. fight fire with fire: "anyone who's making fun of you randomly is a loser" has the additional advantage of being factually true.
