Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Brighton defender Lewis Dunk.

It is understood the fee is to be £40m and the centre back will join in the coming weeks. {The Sun}

I believe a solid defender like Dunk could be a big step in solving our defensive problems. 💪

Seen a lot of people questioning the “signing to-be” Lewis Dunk from Brighton.

I personally believe he would be a solid signing as we’ve been craving a defensively solid player who’s also comfortable on the ball, Dunk ticks the boxes.

Plus he’s a lifelong Chelsea fan 🙌

However the player has stated he’s happy to stay at Brighton and manager Graham Potter will decide on whether to sell after pre-season.

I’m getting the impression Chelsea fans would rather see Reguilon or Tagliafico at the Bridge opposed to the one we seem to be signing, Ben Chilwell.

From what I’ve read it’s the fee that is really putting fans off, with most saying he’s not worth it.

With Caballero seemingly coming to the end of his career, Lampard wants to bring in a goalie to replace him.

He’s reportedly brought it down to two, Watford’s Ben Foster or free agent Joe Hart.

Both experienced keepers in the premier league and would certainly be solid options.

FPL has apparently leaked opening day fixtures and it says #Chelsea will play #Southampton at #home on the opening day.

Not sure if this is completely true however considering it was on the PL app I wouldn’t fully disregard it.
