The Blood of Jesus
We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone - and for the glory of God alone.
Jesus's sacrifice on the cross was a single, once-for-all event that atones for the sins of humanity. His sacrifice is the ultimate and final sacrifice, making any further sacrifices unnecessary.
Jesus's sacrifice is as perfect and complete, capable of fully atoning for all sins. Unlike the repeated animal sacrifices in the Old Testament, Jesus's sacrifice was a one-time event, sufficient for all time.
Jesus took the punishment that you deserved, by willingly laying down His life for you.
Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, because you and I owe a debt - we could never pay.
The Blood of Jesus is sufficient for our salvation, totally sufficient! You don’t need to have merits of the Virgin Mary or taking the Eucharist…
You are Forgiven
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
You are Cleansed
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. (I John 1:7)
You have been declared Righteous
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
You are Justified
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. (Romans 5:9)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:5)
You have gained the unmerited favor of God In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
Don't ever forget that...
