Released as a single, "Nookie" was a huge hit on rock radio around the world, helped the album Significant Other (1999) sell millions of copies and the video became an MTV classic. The track perfectly represents the pinnacle of nu-metal and the irreverent attitude of Limp Bizkit.

“I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass”
- David Lee Roth
David Lee Roth is an American rock vocalist best known as the original and most iconic frontman of Van Halen.
Rising to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s, he helped shape the band’s explosive sound and image, blending hard rock with a bold, theatrical stage presence. Known for his powerful voice, humor, and high-energy performances filled with kicks, jumps, and flamboyant showmanship, Roth became a defining figure of the era.
Beyond Van Halen, he pursued a solo career and other creative ventures, but he remains most strongly associated with the band’s classic lineup. His legacy lies in redefining the rock frontman as both musician and entertainer, merging performance, personality, and spectacle into one unforgettable persona.
When Michael Mann finished his final cut of Heat, it was 2 hours and 45 minutes long — almost unheard of for a contemporary crime drama. When he turned it in to Warner Bros, the executives had already decided it was too long before they even saw it. Mann explains:
“In terms of length, I had a really interesting encounter with Bob Daly and Terry Semel at Warner Brothers when I made the picture. They told me afterwards they flipped a coin to decide who would have to tell me to cut 45 minutes out of the film — this was before they had even seen it.
Then we all went to the big screening at Warner Brothers, and afterwards they stood up and said, ‘Well, I guess we have a two‑hour‑and‑45‑minute movie.’”

"Please Don't Go" is from the album Do You Wanna Go Party (1979), the last major commercial success of KC & The Sunshine Band before the decline of Disco. Written by Harry Wayne Casey (KC) and Richard Finch, the song marks a change of style: unlike danceable and animated hits like "That's the Way (I Like It) " or "Get Down Tonight," this is a slow, emotional romantic ballad.
Released as a single in late 1979, it was an international hit (especially in Europe) and helped show that KC & The Sunshine Band could deliver both party and heartbroken.

Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes was peak comedy: roasting Hollywood elites. Zero pandering, pure savage truth. Still the greatest awards host monologue ever. 🔥
In 1943, the Nicholas Brothers performed their iconic “Jumpin’ Jive” routine, a performance still widely considered one of the greatest ever captured on film.
Remember when Cousin Geri would show up on The Facts of Life and rattle off about three cerebral palsy jokes in a row while everyone sat there like deer in the headlights wondering if they’d go to hell if they laughed?
