@TheEXECUTlONER_ I’m a former Director of Baseball Operations there (06-09) and worked there every summer from age 16-23. I can explain the how/why on canceling games. Just incase yall dunces were unaware, WE CANNOT CONTROL THE WEATHER.
I don’t use hemp, but I’ll defend your right to.
Now Washington wants to wipe out a $25 billion industry and override hemp laws in 25 states. Kentucky regulates hemp responsibly. We allow a simple 5mg hemp drink because adults can make their own decisions. We also know legal, regulated products are always safer than pushing everything back to the black market.
To the lawmakers pushing this backward policy: we tried prohibition. It failed. Let adults make their own choices, stay out of businesses, and leave state laws alone.
Who was really behind the federal hemp ban?
It was authored by Senator Mitch McConnell, who was actually one of the original authors of the 2018 Farm Bill which legalized our industry in the first place! If that doesn’t make sense to you, it might interest you to know that some of Mcconell’s biggest donors come from the alcohol industry, like the parent company of Jack Daniels!
Many senators have come out now and said that this would not have passed as a standalone bill, and that McConnell used the leverage of reopening the federal government in order to force it through!
Kyle Turley, former NFL offense tackle and pro bowler, on Hill lobbying against hemp restrictions Congress included in bill to reopen the govt.
“This is something that is helping people, not hurting people. This is not killing kids, this is saving kids.”
@InsidePolitics Sunday
The government is open, but a hemp industry shutdown has just begun.
In true Washington swamp fashion, this hemp ban is not being debated on its own. Once again, Congress created a crisis, then conveniently used the crisis to jam through new laws without debate.

….check out the 49 other Republican and 2 Democrat Senators that also voted in favor of this measure…shockingly all received major campaign donations ($10k+) from the Alcohol and Tobacco industry.
This isn’t about protecting Americans. This is because our reps are corrupt AF.
Mitch McConnell didn’t just wake up one morning and decide to wipe out 95% of the $28B U.S. hemp industry.
Now we know why: he took nearly $900,000 from the alcohol lobby and then quietly slipped a hemp ban into a shutdown bill that threatens 300,000 American jobs.
Hey Evan! As someone who’s also in the same boat (not in millions), you’ve got my full support to help destroy those who wish to take away our livelihood at the stroke of a pen, under the cover of darkness. We will not go quietly into the night!!!
The hemp provision in the appropriations package will DESTORY my family's livelihood overnight.
It will destory my livelihood and the livelihoods of our employees.
It will destory a $20+ billion industry that many Americans rely on as an alternative to Big Pharma.
We have 2 businesses that have done everything legally, to the books, for a decade now.
My family has paid, quite literally, millions in taxes over the years to the government.
This hemp provision is an attack on the American people and it's an attack on me personally.
The American Dream is being destoryed by Big Business and lobbies.
Thank you @SenRandPaul@RandPaul and @RepThomasMassie@MassieforKY for fighting against this.
I will make it my life mission to DESTORY any Republican who doesn't try to stop this.
The government is ruining our lives and many elected officials don't care.
Thank you for your attention on this matter!
Listen. I rarely make calls to follow me. But I will use this account to share news and action items on working to create a regulated cannabis market.
This is not about just hemp. This is about federally legalizing access to safe, tested, natural cannabis products. Maybe it will start with an altered definition of hemp but I intend to advance ALL cannabis legalization.
My goals in this next year will be to work with Congress to create a federal regulated system for naturally derived cannabinoids. If possible, this will include descheduling all cannabis.
Follow me and tell others to do so if you are ready for the biggest moment that cannabis will have in Congress since the Controlled Substances Act passed.
I’ve been harsh in my critique of @Lj_era8 because he’s shown me who he is & I’ve seen his excellence… Well he’s the best he’s ever been!
I also didn’t know think @KingHenry_2 could elevate an already potent run game to ABSOLUTELY unstoppable… But he did! Tonight Tampa found out!
