Sonny deals. The bullpen dominates. And what’s going on with Rafaela? 👀

The Red Sox grind out a 1–0 win, but it took nearly flawless pitching to get there.

Sonny Gray set the tone with 6 scoreless, Tyron Guerrero came in firing, Garrett Whitlock escaped trouble in the 8th, and Aroldis Chapman struck out the side to slam the door.

Jarren Duran provided the spark after entering early, scoring the only run of the night and creating more pressure late.

But the same offensive questions remain. Boston had opportunities all night and managed just one run.

And then there’s Ceddanne Rafaela. He exited after grabbing at his hamstring, but the early news is encouraging — Chad Tracy said it appeared to be cramping, and Rafaela said postgame that he believes it was a cramp and feels fine now. He will undergo an MRI in the morning to further evaluate.

New game. Same story. This time, the pitching made it enough.
