One of my deep personal opinon about Nigeria.
1 - Corruption is a feature not a bug
2 - Cost of Governance is myth
I don't believe anyone can eliminate corruption. Just a selective target always.
I don't believe anyone can implement proper austerity in Government. They can do something for optics but nothing significant.
We have to grow amidst these features albeit slowly...
Insisting on eliminating those 2 before progressing is just a waste of time IMO.

@Raschid_bwhizzy I said struggle I did not say owing. They are still using 2007 rate to calculate pension that's is ridiculous.
Especially for a state like Lagos where cost of living is outrageous.
I listen to the interview I didn't even react to the post but the interview.
I weep for our old people in Bola Tinubu's Lagos State currently being ruled by @jidesanwoolu. How do you mistreat our old ones like this?
What will N40,000 to N70,000 ($28 to $50) monthly pension payments do for anybody in today's Nigeria?

My issue with the “go to your governors” mantra is the FAAC sharing formula:
FG: 52.68%
36 states: 26.72%
774 LGAs: 20.60%
States and LGAs share only 47.32% with each other. How are they expected to deliver more while the Federal Government retains the majority?
