These are armed robbers. But the best way to push an agenda is to call them goons.
If the police decide to pursue them one by one tomorrow and shoot each of them dead, commercial activists and disunited oppositionwill be demonstrating, blaming Ruto for extrajudicial killings.
Didmus Barasa's popularity in Bungoma is at frantic peak. The people love him, you can't take that from him. Sifuna was left staring at empty seats with his mouth wide open. The narrative that's now being pushed around is that my Luhya people are illiterate and are led by their stomachs, and that only Mt. Kenya voters are rational, educated, wise and informed group of voters.
PS Raymond Omollo sings smooth lullabies on the wonderful roads & affordable houses the GOK builds...(we appreciate the good work by GOK)..but he forgot long time his day job...armed robbers have taken over our towns
White smoke is beginning to billow from Western Kenya.
During a press briefing today, following a strategy meeting held at the home of Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Luhya leaders allied to Linda Mwananchi announced a political roadmap for Western Kenya ahead of the 2027 General Election.
As part of that roadmap, they announced that a new political party will soon be unveiled to carry the movement’s vision.
Governor Natembeya announced that the roadmap will begin with a major Linda Mwananchi rally in Trans Nzoia on 25th July, followed by the mother of all rallies in Bungoma County on 26th July, where Edwin Sifuna will be crowned the Luhya leader before being released to focus on his national campaign.
Further, Natembeya said he will thereafter lead political engagements across all 38 constituencies in Western Kenya in his capacity as the coordinator of the movement’s political activities in Sifuna’s Mulembe backyard.
The leaders present also declared Sifuna as their 2027 presidential candidate.
Most “goons” deployed on our streets could actually be police officers in civilian clothing.
Those who stoned ex-CJ Maraga’s car knew exactly where he sat — back left. That’s precisely where the stone, or is it a bullet, went through.
How long will Western diplomats keep watching in silence as human rights abuses gain momentum in Kenya - ahead of what promises to be a bloody election?
