Gary always put the Clippers first. It didn’t matter who was playing, coaching or owning the team he was loyal to the Nanaimo Clippers first.

@SJHLCommish @theSJHL Very sad news. Sincere condolences to the Kartusch family. Wayne earned tremendous respect as a passionate and fair leader. He wasn’t afraid to get the strap out if necessary, always has the best interest of the league first and foremost.
