Our second of three farewells goes to Mr. Chris Mogan who is retiring this June after 34 years in education. Mr. Mogan spent the last 22 years with the Near North District School Board teaching at West Ferris, Widdifield and for the last 3 years at Chippewa! Congratulations Chris
Our final of 3 farewells goes to Mr. Greg Richardson who is retiring this June after 30 years in education. Mr. Richardson has had a phenomenal career and has been instrumental in getting Chippewa hockey revitalized and started Chippewa baseball. Congratulations Greg!
Two Dynamic Educators Join Chippewa Teaching Staff for 2023-24!
Mr. M. McMullen & Mr. T. Stevens have been hired by the @NearNorthDSB Board to teach at Chippewa next year. Mr, McMullen spent the 2022-23 school year with us filling a variety of roles and teaching positions.
The Two Step: Co-led by grade 12 student Georgia Mianskum, the two step is a dance where you step with your left foot and drag the right to begin. Georgia and her partner led the dance, which was followed by Chippewa staff and students in attendance.
A Powwow is a celebration of life! Chippewa was thrilled to be host Aanmitaagzi performers at our school today. Aanmitaagzi presented cultural dances with their teachings, and important teachings about Powwow's for Chippewa's students and staff.
A group of grade 8 CSS students had the opportunity to work along side OKIMAKAN, our secondary student leadership group out of the Indigenous Centre, and Kelly Steven's from North Bay's Indigenous Hub, to make a medicine pouch. We are so excited to have you in grade 9 next year!

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls’ Soccer team for earning their first win of the NDA season! The girls took on the Franco Cite Patriotes and won a hard fought affair 3 to 1. Grade 10 star athlete Annabelle Jackson scored all three goals for Chippewa. #Chippewaismyhome
Chippewa is offering a new Volleyball Summer School Course in July. This is open to all students in grades 8-12 and students will receive a secondary school credit in physical education. Interested students are asked to see their guidance counsellor. #ChippewaIsMyHome
