@40thforward If Chicagoans ‘are struggling to pay their tax bills and to put food on the table,’ why do they keep voting for Democrats? Voters get who they want. And deserve.
@MaryAnnAhernNBC@tous2005 The saga of the Chicago Bears possibly going across the line to IN has, so far, not included Chicago Mayor Johnson. As far as the Bears are concerned, Johnson is a non-entity. Pritzker also has complete disdain for Johnson. Nobody is even talking to him.
@themodpun IL’s one-party legislature, and governor, have had one objective. Separating Illinoisans from their money. The Bears have property in the ‘burbs they want to build on. IN gave them tax incentives. IL Democrats haven’t. Now the same gov and legislature are ‘outraged.’ Seriously??
Illinois we have a chance to show the nation that Illinois is able to fight back.
Many states think we're nothing but a Democrat stronghold, that every seat here is safe blue.
Don't you want to prove them wrong so that MORE investment will continue to come to our state!

Imagine how much impact a win in CD1 would have on the perception of Illinois nationally.
We'd be able to challenge EVERY congressional seat with VIGOR in 2030.
Be apart of HISTORY by claiming your seat at the table on June 19th!
Secure a ticket before early bird tickets end on Friday at 9pm.

@CoreyWriting So this character ‘tells’ the Chicago Bears ‘don’t profit from our city while running away from it for a tax break.’ That doesn’t pass the laugh test.
@CoreyWriting Earth to IL’s one-party elite: the Chicago Bears can call themselves anything they want to. They don’t need permission from the same Democrats who are making Chicago unaffordable and unlivable.
@nypost Kirsten Gillebrand ‘is mum on Platner’ after the NYT hit piece because she’s serving 2 masters. She doesn’t want to overtly condemn a Democrat candidate, but neither can she be seen as supporting a domestic abuser. After all, she all but started the MeTo movement.
Tapper: "Are you not disturbed at all by the allegations in the New York Times story on Graham Platner?"
Maine State Rep. Valli Geiger: "The person who accused him of physicality is a Republican operative... who helped write the speech Susan Collins gave on the floor to justify her vote for Brett Kavanaugh."
That's not true, but it's what the New York Times story wanted everyone to believe.
@aishahhasnie IN Gov Braun is realistic on Indiana and the Chicago Bears. He knows the Bears want to build on property they already own. IL Democrats haven’t responded on tax incentives, IN has. For his own reputation (and presidential run), it’s possible Pritzker will force a deal.
@aishahhasnie So Pritzker is now saying that he and IL Democrats ‘negotiated with the Bears in good faith,’ implying the Bears didn’t do the same. BS. The Bears told Pritzker from the start they wanted tax incentives. IN gave it to them. IL hasn’t. There’s been no doubt where either stood.
@peterbakernyt@katieglueck@llerer The NYT is so concerned about the distinct possibility that Democrats won’t flip the ME Senate seat that it’s actually trashed Platner, the Democrat nominee. It seems like the press is joining a growing number of Democrats in pressuring Platner to drop out of the race.
@jferg963@aishahhasnie The Bears have spent a couple hundred million buying and maintaining the property in Arlington Hts. They don’t have a site in Indiana. They’ll be at Soldier Field for the next 4 seasons. Pritzker will not be the governor who lost the Bears during a presidential campaign. 😂
@TerryMoran This is hilarious. Another twit wringing his hands over the Chic Bears threatening to move to IN. Indiana has presented the Bears with a tax incentive plan. It’s called ‘competition.’ Either IL’s governor and its one-party legislature gets in the game, or it doesn’t. Duh.
@ProudElephant@Stephani_rr39 The Chic Bears ‘announcing’ that they ‘moving forward’ on a stadium in Indiana means nothing. This is a kick in Pritzker’s ample a** to call the legislature back in session. The Bears know Pritzker doesn’t want to kick off a presidential run after losing the Bears.
